Is there an overlap between the CSM and CSPO courses?
There is no significant overlap between the Certified ScrumMaster and Certified Scrum Product Owner courses. There are maybe a half-dozen slides that are shared between courses. There are a few concepts, such as user stories, that are covered in each. But when a concept is covered in both courses, it is presented differently and at different levels of detail. For example, user stories are given 45-60 minutes in the CSM course but are essentially given a full afternoon in the CSPO course. We also have a page on our website that addresses this:
